Often referred to Iranian cuisine as Persians are one of Iran’s native ethnic groups, this type of cuisine is really interesting due to its middle eastern elements and far east influences.  Staples of Persian cuisine include rice, bread (mostly flatbreads), fruit (lots of pomegranate and dried fruit) and vegetables (everything from beans, courgette and carrot, to spinach, pumpkin and squash), with lots spices and flavouring (such as saffron and rose water).
